Softball20 Posted July 25, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 25, 2023 About how long is each segment of the ferry ride - I mean from village to village? One of our friends traveling with us next year doesn't do well on smaller boats. She's fine on big cruise ships, LOL. Looking for ways to sell it to her 🙂 Since we will have an overnight in La Spezia, we will likely do CT villages on our first day, and then maybe a train to Lucca the second day. CruiserBruce Posted July 25, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 25, 2023 If you check their website you can probably figure out the times. But it can definitely be rough. And they don't really dock in most of the towns, it's a long narrow gangway while ferry is sort of idling in place. Not for some with motion sickness. Rare Over from NZ Posted July 26, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 26, 2023 If you're doing an overnight in La Spezia.. why don't you just train to the CT? The first village is only 10 mins from La Spezia station and the res tare spaced out similarly after that.
