minidonuts85 Posted July 31, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 31, 2023 Hello, Reading back on a post from Oct 2022, there was mention of getting tender tickets from the piano bar. Is that still necessary, as of recent experience, if we don’t have a ship tour booked? Or just go down and line up early? Didn’t see anything in the dailies posted by the darkest blue from June but did notice that a scheduled tender was earmarked for booked ship tours. We’d like to be aboard the first or second of the day. Thanks!
FlightMedic555 Posted July 31, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 31, 2023 No tickets needed. Just head down.
Rare Tahitianbigkahuna Posted July 31, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 31, 2023 (edited) Depends on how full the ship is .... If it is pretty full they could require ... This has been the case about 1/2 the time over the last few years on our cruises. Ship excursions get priority if the ship is pretty full. Not sure when you're going, but I think our sailing was pretty full, so if it's a sample of how it normally goes, I wouldn't worry about it, they were very timely and plenty of room. The tenders hold 120+ people and there are only 330 guests. It's not like on a large ship where you have to queue up, or go to the auditorium and listen for your number, nothing like that. I hope you have a great time! Edited August 1, 2023 by TheDarkestBlue 1
minidonuts85 Posted August 1, 2023 Author #5 Share Posted August 1, 2023 Thanks everyone! Will get a sense of how full the ship is and if we hear of tickets, will get one or just head down. @TheDarkestBlue August 26! So excited! how you described the large cruise ship mess is our prior experience with the exception of Windstar which was pretty smooth. But small tenders.
FlightMedic555 Posted August 1, 2023 #6 Share Posted August 1, 2023 For clarity, we have never needed a ticket but there have been occasions when some people on line could not get on the tender as it was full. As mentioned, the people on ship excursions get priority.
