Can I bring these on board

Damn, now I want some pizza strips. Always got them from Calvittos in Cranston. And to answer the question, they are designed to be eaten cold.

We have a tradition of bringing a box of cheap crackers and a can of Cheese Whiz on board...we have an "elegant " sail-away party on our balcony with these o-so-tasteful appetizers 😉.

Any friends we happen to sail with and invite to our party know our sense of humor and often bring similar foodstuffs to add to the fun, such as sliced circus peanuts on a cocktail toothpick,chilled  pizza rolls, etc.

That was my mother's thought when I bought a lobster roll ashore in Portland Maine to have for lunch onboard. She was appalled that I would bring food onboard QE2, as if I was insulting the ship!

 

Since then I have brought food onboard in many ports. McLobster in Halifax (seriously, I had to try it) and better lobster roll in several northeastern ports. I brought croissants onto QE2 in France, as hers were croissant in name only. I found a wonderful patisserie in Quebec City and brought opera cake on board.

 

I pack cookies or buy some in port because ships tend to have the same cookies every day. I bought Oreos in a supermarket in Australia--not because I like them at lot, but because they were a touch of home when I was far away (they were made in China).

 

Liquids may be scrutinized, but food coming on board never has been IME.

We've brought foods on ships all over the world, to sample some special treats (Pao de Queijo in Brazil, cured meats in Portugal and Spain, wacky Lay's flavors all over Asia and many more) but would not consider dragging food on from home.  As others, we travel for different experiences, not something we can do every day at home.  But to each their own.

One of my best friends brings back dried fish in her luggage from the Phillipines. We all laugh at her because we know that is smelly food!!!
