Parking offsite - dropping bags etc

Can you go and drop your bags first and then go off and park and come back?

 

Or do you have to park, get the bus etc and do it all in one go?

You may need to mention the port.

 

You can definitely do this at Port Canaveral and I would assume all ports but I don't want to be an ASSumer as I'm only familiar with PC.

Generally speaking, you can drop off bags first and then park off site and come back--if you want to do it that way.  However, it is often more trouble than it is worth to do that.  There can be a long line getting into the port.  You would then be in that line twice.

 

It would help to know which port you will use.

Yep, we've done it at Canaveral, Everglades, Miami, Liberty, and Galveston and we've seen it done at Seattle.  We have also dropped off luggage and gone elsewhere (like for breakfast, last-minute shopping, etc) and returned hours later.

sorry it is indeed Port Canaveral. Specifically Royal Caribb

Not an issue at PC.  But as others have said, it's a matter of going through the line twice and waiting for the shuttle from your offsite parking lot.  But tip the porters well and your luggage will be handed well.

We just did it at PC in January, dropped off the luggage then returned the rental car and took the shuttle back to the port. It was all very easy, we were in and out of the port in 5 minutes. I'd advise doing it as early as possible as it may get busy the later you wait.
