How do we visit Castillo San Felipe de Barajas in Cartagena?

Our ship stops for an overnight in Cartagena.  We did a city tour on our last cruise here and the only thing we are interested in seeing is the old fort.  The last tour we took did not go inside the fort, only a drive by.

 

I would use one of Celebrity cruise's excursions except I can't find one that includes going into the fort.

 

Any suggestions on how to get from the cruise port to the fort and back?

Yes, taxi as @njhorseman says above. A few years ago, on my wife’s and my second visit to Cartagena, we explored the fortress on our own.  We took a cab from the port (they are waiting outside the gates), and hailed a cab on the street for the return. No problem getting one. 
 

Since you’ve already been to Cartagena, you know how hot and humid it is. Get a really early start, and have water and sunscreen.
