MARKUS_OLIVER_KLEIN Posted August 16, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 16, 2023 I'm on the Azamara Quest in November and need to do some work with Teamviewer, AnyDesk, VNC Connect or Remote Desktop. One of them would be enogh. 😉 Unfortunately, the forum search yielded no hits and a Google search only found the following information: "The system does not support Skype, VOIP, Remote Access and other high bandwidth programs." I don't know how old this information is. Some people write here in the forum that streaming is possible, so probably not all high-bandwidth programs are blocked. Thank you. excitedofharpenden Posted August 16, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 16, 2023 And I just don't think you can be sure that the Internet is going to be robust. It was not good on Quest in the Med last month. Phil 1
MARKUS_OLIVER_KLEIN Posted November 19, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted November 19, 2023 Answering my own question. Currently on the Quest, TeamViewer is working and Anydesk working as well. Wireguard VPN is also working, will test VNC Connect and Chrome Remote Desk in the comming days.

Their publicity says that VPNs don't work! Are you still getting very high speeds (in which case they probably haven't locked it down yet) or do you think reality is better than expectations? I know what their publicity is stating, that was the reason to ask the questions in the first place. Now that I am on board I was able to test what is possible. Wireguard VPN is working fine. Internet speed is 0.4 MBit Down and 0.2 MBit Upload speed. Not on Starlink.
