Lenbro1944 Posted August 22, 2023 #1 Share Posted August 22, 2023 What type and how many plug adapters are recommend to convert to American plugs on the Splendor cabins?
douginct Posted August 22, 2023 #2 Share Posted August 22, 2023 There are several US outlets in the cabin as well as some USB ports, so you probably won't need any adaptors. We didn't. What may be useful is a multi-outlet cord or adaptor so you can turn one outlet into three. Just be sure it is not a surge suppressor - they are not allowed.
mrlevin Posted August 22, 2023 #3 Share Posted August 22, 2023 I would not use the USB adapters. too easy to load malware to your phone. As for European adapters, take at least a couple. If you are caught somewhere on the ship and want to charge your phone or laptop you are going to need a European adapter. There are lots of places around the ship to charge (the one in Coffee Connection on Splendor is hard to find but extremely useful).

If you're worried about malware from a public USB port, use a "charging only" USB cable, which only has the two power wires installed, not the two data wires, or use a "data blocker" which only connects the two power wires from your USB cable to the USB port, disconnecting the two data wires. 1

I guess they cleaned up the name a bit, 😁
