Live From The Carnival Freedom: Crossing the Atlantic for a New Whale Tail

Dinner was good. The buffet has a lot of choices and while some items weren't as good as I thought they would be, overall I had a good dinner. Much better than spanish night.

Casino was a slow drain on my money but a drain none the less. It seems to take $250 coin in to earn a free drink. Assuming a 10% hold which would be very generous you can expect to spend $25 for a drink on average.

Not even slightly enticing. They should set the threshold much lower than buying a drink outright. Even more concerning, they use the same software Carnival has so they have the ability to implement a pay to redeem free drinks model. Hope that never happens.

Good morning.

I slept hard last night, probably the hardest I've slept all trip.

We won't be in Ibiza until 1130. There will be a shuttle to take us into town but I suspect the line to board them will be long so it might not be until later in the afternoon before we try.

Getting ready now and making my way out for some breakfast.

Morning,

Up to date with your posts . Please keep it going 😊 👏🏻

I’m 100% with you and will go a bit further, Battenberg is vile, all that marzipan - yuk.

Thanks for reading.

I usually like marzipan but something about this cake was just too sweet for me.

I made it to the library to use their computers. I had intended to start getting my day trips caught up.

I was able to login but the internet was painfully slow. I tried to do a speed test to see if they were using Starlink or a different service being hardwired to a connection.

Too slow to even get a reading. I was most definitely connected, things were loading just very very slowly.

I switched back to my phone and tried another test. Same thing, they must be blocking access which is pretty shady IMHO.

Nevertheless speeds on my phone are just fine and I can't say I've ever experienced the hardwired computers being slower than a signal bouncing from router to router.

I will keep trying but I may not get to post those until I'm on freedom.

I believe the original complainant identified a third type. You may wish to note those as well. 🙂

This is bordering on scandalous. I suppose supply chain issues will be the excuse but I expect some OBC at this point if I am ever to consider to return to such a second rate cruise line.

To be fair you would need to leave breakfast time tomorrow to experience the real Ibiza night life!

Fair enough, make it an overnight stop. At the port talk for Valencia the presenter kept talking about something and then saying "oh but this is closed because it is Sunday "

I suspect I would not be in the majority in majority.

I imagine many of your fellow passengers are distraught. 🙂

They were distraught to be coming here at all 😆.  I heard several grumbling about this port stop.

Strangely, if we survive, we are going there in 2025 for the first time in many Med. cruises, and I am looking forward to it, though admittedly not for the clubbing.
