Have it booked for two 11 day cruises next year!

Enjoy!

Did you take pictures of the room? We have it next year and would love to see pictures/video of it.

Here are a couple; I'll do more at the end before we leave. Biggest challenge is the closet - only 3, 1 of which has drawers, the left side hard to get in/out of due to proximity to bed. The middle drawer is unusable b/c it sticks so badly it won't pull out & the top shelf in center closet is broken/missing so you build a mountain on the top one that is there. The tables do not have a drawer or shelf, so there's just a space to pile things in there. There's a small ledge between wall & beds that is good for small items like glasses. Storage space under desk & under window.

One other thing to mention is there is a random hook sticking out of the wall under the TV near the deck door. I think it was meant to hold a curtain tie, but is on the wrong wall. It will grab you as you go between the bed & TV if you're not careful. If the bed is pushed together as a single there should be a tad more clearance - beds are separated for us.

View out deck door is completely blocked for person on left side of the bed - we just close the curtain in the closet - voila - full view! 2 windows & 1 door for great views.

The star of the show, of course, is the balcony!

Power: 1 USB & C on each side of the bed (no electrical outlet), 1 USB & C + 1 110v & 1 220v at desk. We brought a cube & a strip (no surge protector) to have extra outlets.

All walls except wood at desk by mirror & padded wall behind are magnetic INCLUDING both sides of the door. (Picture of hooks is a couple doors down.) The door is inside a vestibule so you have your own private entry not in the hallway. 20230926_051017.thumb.jpg.b6d6c525578c748c28d93e1aefe42d36.jpg

Good morning, almost St John! It's cold out there!!

No plans today as I've got some work to do, so there are HOHO seats with our names on them. We used the credit from yesterday's canceled boat tour + $20 so not a bad deal to bum around at our leisure.

I did not sorry, but my wife brought a few things to help with stuff (storage), there is a metal wall between the bed and the exit doorway, my wife bought a bunch small magnatized metal hooks from amazon and also a plastic pocket holder.About 3 foot wide and 5 foot long, probably 25ish pockets on it. Keeps counters free of stuff. Sunglasses etc,,,

she also brings a hanging clothes holder for the closet,it  has 6 or 8 cubbies, she puts most of my t's, shorts, light clothes in it.

Both fold down flat for travel.

Suitcases and life vest under the beds.

Pics below of similar things she brings for us.

Finally made it to Family Feud. We went to the 2nd show at 9:30 - Family Feud Live: After Hours (18+). It was PACKED and so much fun. The cousins from Missouri won.

The theater is definitely too small, as we've kinda all heard by now. And the columns you've read about are large and block the views; there are several of them. There is room to stand at the back. Temperature was comfortable  - not too hot or cold.

Gonna try to go to Love and Marriage tomorrow night.

I really enjoyed Family Feud on Mardi Gras. It was packed on that ship too but the theater is not as bad as the Vista class. I honestly don’t think I went to any theater shows when I was on Horizon but I’m going to try this time.

I was there as well,  sitting at the bar in back. Very funny. 😎

Ropes course w/view of St John. The weather was perfect for doing it. Didn't see anybody up there the couple times I looked, then finally as we headed from the HOHO to ship around 6pm, saw someone on the left side. Did not capture them in these shots. The view must be amazing up there!

I was working in the morning, so excursions before noon were out. Plus it was cold 🥶. We took the HOHO around St John; it has a stop right at the port - through the Welcome Center to the right then left. The "Container Store" is to the left. Path for HOHO is well marked - follow the pink line.😉

Time Out: 1:30; Time In: 5:58pm. Felt like we saw a lot and got a good overview of SJB and Bay of Fundy in 4.5 hours. The Container Store was closing down when we got there, but we were able to buy some nuts, fudge and whoopie pies. YAY for homemade for whoopie pies!! YAY for repurposing shipping containers!

Architecture is great - many unique buildings w/stained glass. I couldn't get a lot of pictures because we rode a lot - only got off at the Market and Reversing Rapids - so what pictures I did get are moving shots.

SJB Firsts from 1785 - 1852.

All Mickey Ds in Canada have a maple leaf in the center.

Is that a street sweeper - the van with the broom on the back? Ours don't look like that. 🤔

Lily Lake (1 of 10 lakes) in Rockwood Park is lovely; fall colors are just starting to appear (been too warm). Rockwood Park is 2,200 acres w/31 miles of trails. The maple leaf statue contains all the types of rock found in Canada. So does the house.

Saw a moose w/a hockey stick.

The church is beautiful - hard to get a picture of the top from a moving vehicle.🙄

If you zoom in, you can glimpse the Tiffany lamp in the window of the Jewish Museum - it has to stay w/the property if it's sold.

Nice view of our ship from across the bay.

Reversing Rapids is incredible  - hard to capture in pictures - go see it!!

Sunset was beautiful - I wasn't able to capture sail away as I was busy eating BBQ ribs in MDR.

We've only got 2 days left on this FUN ship and have a lot still to explore. I'm working Wed morning before we head into Halifax and Thurs we have Behind the Fun tour & Terrazzo Sea Day Brunch. I'm working Thurs afternoon, so probably will walk around a bit in the evenings. I do still have to find the library by request.

I'll try to post some of the many pictures I took before they kick us off Fri and from the airport. Goal is to have very little to do once back home.

I've really enjoyed my B2B on the Venezia and will book her again when the itinerary and price intersect. There are a few minor things I don't care for or that need attention, but no cruise or ship is perfect and none of the things warrant me not sailing the Venezia again.

In June it was located on deck 11, port side, on that mezzanine area one level above the midship pool, forward of the Pergola bar. It was a wheeled set of shelves, so it may possibly have been moved since then.

I just want to compliment you on your energy and good spirits. To be working, enjoying your cruise, taking photos, AND posting regularly is a lot! So glad to hear you are enjoying it all.

Good morning, En Route to Halifax! Kinda cool outside and just a bit windy.

Ducks found last night. Count: me = 4, Sis = 3. Technically I found 5, but I am not counting the one I found at the Steakhouse that I had not yet picked up that a guy bent down right next to me (I'm being VERY gracious w/his proximity to me) and picked up. Good thing I don't value personal space...can you feel the sarcasm? People on airplanes and cruise ship tour buses don't get as close to each other as he got to me.🤔

Haha!  I could imagine you saying (in your best Mae West voice) "any closer, we'd be on a date and you'd owe me dinner" 😉
