anyone travelled to Hawaii from Vancouver. Friends are saying such bad time to travel with choppy waters and storms..

I traveled to Hawaii from Vancouver on Carnival in September 2018.  I don't particularly remember the choppiness of the water and storms on the way to Hawaii.  I do remember we got some showers while we were anchored near Kona and that was it for the bad weather while we were sailing around the islands.

 

I don't think it's a bad time to travel there at all.  There are some ships that go that way each year, mostly to reposition elsewhere.  There's a small chance of a tropical disturbance drifting by, but otherwise it's about the same as any other time of the year where there's always a chance of rain, wind, and rough seas.
