Milestone Cruise question

I will be having my Milestone cruise coming up at my next booking.  I understand that I can use the Milestone offer at any time past my 25th cruise.

What is the best way to get the "Best Bang for my Buck"?.  I do receive frequent Casino Offers so I am a bit confused as to how it works.

Appreciate any input.

Thanks so much!!

You get 25% of the base price of the cruise as on board credit.  So if it's a casing offer where you pay $200 and get $200 back as an on board credit you will get another 25% of the $200 (an additional $50) OBC.

Just used ours for an October cruise, as it happens our 25th cruise is the priciest we ever paid so we are both taking the 25%. But it does not need to be taken on the 25th. Our PVP submitted the request for both of us and we each got an email saying that 2-3 days prior to the cruise the $amount will show up.

We used both of ours on our ten-day Alaska cruise in August. We splurged on an aft-wrap balcony and ended up with over $1700 in OBC. (We are not gamblers so no casino deals for us.)

We did the same and it paid for all our excursions which are quite expensive in alaska

My 25th cruise is in December, my husbands is Jan 26.  On January 28th we are boarding a 14 day Journey cruise ,  we will both be using our milestone obc for that cruise 😄

Congratulations ! I used mine on a Panorama cruise and really enjoyed the WHITE cabin card you get to use for the cruise (a Diamond colored card).

I have heard both ways on using your milestone OBC in your 25th cruise or it has to be on your 26+ cruise. Hopefully, I am able to use it next July on my 12 night European cruise as that would be my most expensive cruise by far that I have planned.

Same! My 25th is in August on a European cruise too. Hoping it can be used on that one.

I have one more cruise than my hubby 😄   so my cruise in December will be my 25th  his 24th.  Our pvp put in to apply our milestone OBC to our cruise in January (14 day journey cruise)   Mine is being applied  this is the email reply he received . From reading this you CAN have it applied to your 25th cruise.  Our PVP  will reapply for it after our December cruise.

Thank you for contacting us. We appreciate the opportunity to be of assistance.

Please note that your cruise history shows a total of 23 completed revenue cruises as of this email. Unfortunately, we cannot process the Milestone redemption request until after you have completed your 24th cruise.

Please resubmit after you have completed your 24th cruise.

Thank you for allowing us this opportunity to serve you.

Best Regards,

Gary

  • 2 weeks later...

I just used my 50th milestone...when I received the confirmation, it stated 25th...when I called about it, they let  me know that I haven't used my 25th yet.

No problem attaching the 50th to the cruise in question.

I still have to find a cruise to apply the 25th to...

Thanks everyone!!  Appreciate the feedback.

It starts to get really interesting on your 50th and 75th, as then you can start getting some serious OBC to work with!

Cheryl is a couple cruises ahead of me, and used her 50th on a chartered music sailing (VH-1 in 2011). I was surprised that they allowed it to apply to that cruise since the fares are substantially more than regular rates for those types of cruises. So that's something to consider since casino offers don't apply to them.

I forget the exact amount, but on the Celebration earlier this year we cashed in our on our 75th milestone credit. Between that and $2,000 on board credit from a casino offer, we ended up with several thousand in cash to use, which we used up easily (steakhouse for something like 13 people the first night as well as jewelry store and casino visits).

My PVP said it could not be used on our 25th.

Our PVP used both of ours (at our request as it is a cruise that we paid more for than usual for us) on our 25th cruise next week, and have received email confirmation from Guest Admin that it has been applied.
