Southwest Sale w/repricing options for existing tickets

FWIW - Southwest is having a major three-day sale on tickets for some routings and dates on flights from late October to early March. 

 

Interestingly, this sale also includes repricing changes on existing tickets, so even if you already have WN flights in that period, it's worth it to check and see if you can save a few bucks.  The discount is 50% of the base fare, with regular costs for the taxes and fees.  Plus, if you booked Early Bird, it will be transferred if you change the flight, rather than cancel and rebook. 

 

To see if you can get the discount, go to your reservation and click "change" for your flights.  You can see if you can get the same flights for a refund - you don't have to change to other flights.

 

Look for the Week of Wow promo on the Southwest website.  Tickets must be bought by Thursday.  Code is WOW50.

Thanks so much for posting this.  I have family flying from LAS to SAV on Southwest for Christmas, 3 tickets, booked a couple of weeks ago for about $500/ticket.  Logging onto Southwest and selecting the "change/cancel flight" tab, the discount comes up automatically, with all of the various options.  Long story short, we weren't able to reprice the exact flights for less, but by moving the inbound travel by one day, we were able to cut the total cost almost in half.  Really appreciate the alert on this!

We paid close attention last week and significantly lowered the cost of two trips over the winter. Always keep your eyes open.
