Compare the Haven on Joy vs. Encore

We were in the Haven on Joy about 18 months ago and enjoyed it very much.

How does Encore compare?

Given that the Joy has a lot more Haven staterooms and more people, the Encore experience should be a lot better.

I posted some Encore Haven pictures a few weeks ago starting on Post #227 below. You can compare to your Joy experience. We booked a Haven room in the Joy right after they reclassified most of the "S"uites to "H"aven rooms just to see what kind of impact all those rooms had on the Haven experience... unfortunately, all of those bookings got cancelled due to COVID shutdown.

We've sailed in the Haven on both the Encore (1/22) and the Joy (5/23).  Both were very comparable.  Staff was equally attentive, the bar service top notch and the Horizon lounges had plenty of seating.  Even with the increased # of cabins on the Joy, I didn't feel that the space was crowded and we never waited more than 5 minutes for a table in the Haven restaurant.  

 

I'll be sailing on the Joy next week in the Haven again on a sold out ship and am looking forward to another wonderful trip.  (And an encore sailing on the Encore in January, so I love them both!)
