For those casino players who receive Elite cruises, how much do you “donate” before you get those offers? How many casino points do you accrue for a week long cruise usually? Bankroll?

My guess is that many who receive the offers have probably experienced high 4 to low 5-digit losses at some point.

I've have come home even and gotten the offers, but only on very specific sailings.  Likely ones CCL is trying to fill and maybe makes offers to players they normally would not ?!?!?  I am primarily a table player, so I don't get nearly the points as those that I read about here that play primarily machines.

3k points per day usually. I am usually on the low end of points during many cruises. I have sat next to many with 5k points per day / 40k+ points in 7 days.

Not sure it is that much better than ultra. jmho

I don't have the data, but are Elite sailings more capacity controlled? The last Ultra I went on was a madhouse (with Ultras). I like a little elbow room myself 🙂

yes they are, but if the sailing itself is full, then casino would be busy anyway.

No doubt - 🙂

It's interesting to note that, for years, I was often the only person (perhaps 1-2 others on some sailings) who played at the $25 BJ table on Carnival. Now it's not uncommon to have to wait to get a seat - at least on the Celebration and Mardi Gras.

Of course, back then, Big Macs weren't nearly $6 either (aka, $25 ain't what it used to be) !!!

Before covid we did not get Elite offers, just Ultra. Since covid we regularly get Elite offers. Our gambling hasn't changed.

I generally have 10,000 to 11,000 points for the cruise. I don't get offered suites, just balconies and only get offered $300 casino cash. Also, I don't think we get first shot at picking the Elite cruise we want. I recently received my latest offer and it says "access" starts October 12 while I have seen others comment that their access starts October 10.

So I guess we are "low end Elite."

I get Elite offers but haven't been able to book one.  Mind you, I spend a lot of time in the casino but I have never, ever loss anything close to high 4 figures on any of my 25 + cruises.

I have had a couple of decent wins (nothing over $5000), and it seems that it was soon after one of those wins that I began receiving the Elite offers.  It seems that once you're on the "list" you keep getting the offers as I have spent less money in the last few years since retiring.

Hoping to take advantage of the offers coming out this week, and also hoping it's on ships sailing out of Tampa or Pt. Canaveral instead of Miami.  All are in driving distance, but beyond Miami being a 3-4 hour drive, I also don't care for the port itself.

i spend roughly 800-1000 each cruise and i get them.  I think the question you need answered is how much do you have to spend to get the "good" Elite offers ie drinks on us everywhere etc vs my Elite offers of Drinks on us in the Casino lol.

Interesting - I thought that all Elite offers included (essentially) CHEERS.

Elite offers have increased since Covid but we started getting way more Elite offers once we booked first Elite even before Covid.  We also get way more offers that include DOU everywhere since booking our first Elite.  We stay away from Premier or Ultras (don’t offer DOU everywhere) and only do Elite or other offers with DOU everywhere and they keep coming.
