How long before RCI Visa Rewards Discounts deduct from "Balance Due"?

I paid $650 of my cruise balance using Visa Reward points this week. How long before my balance is updated on the website? I still have a few weeks until final payment is due, but wanted to be sure the website would reflect the accurate total.

I've had my credit show up in as few as a couple days. You should have received an email stating that the credit has been applied to your account.

I am 7 days to final payment and now Royal is telling me that my $300 credit will not be applied until the day of final payment.  I am not comfortable with waiting until the last minute and taking a chance that my cruise will be cancelled due to their glitchy IT.

Anyone else have this experience or a possible resolution?

Make final payment via phone now.

Trying to do that now.  They can't seem to do that and apply the credit.
