BillB48 Posted December 7, 2023 #51 Share Posted December 7, 2023 Glad the Canal has seen fit to get the cams back up, they have been down for a while this past week. Looking at the tides, the time in the lower level appears to have worked in conjunction with low tide for clearing the bridge this morning which was at 5:14AM. Nothing like knocking a few mimosas down before the sun comes up.

dmwnc1959 Posted December 11, 2023 #61 Share Posted December 11, 2023 (edited) Disney Magic, got that big ducktail going. For some reason, I thought should be going through the Miraflores Locks? Is there a reason why she stopped using them. Edited December 11, 2023 by dmwnc1959
BillB48 Posted December 11, 2023 #62 Share Posted December 11, 2023 The reason that ship no longer uses the original locks as it once did is the addition of the duck's arse on the stern. While the addition doesn't extend the overall length by a huge amount, it does exceed the 965' LOA. The Magic has the distinction of being the first passenger ship to use the new locks.

Maybe only crew and company representatives, if that qualifies as passengers? She does appear to be riding a little higher in the water compared to some of her pictures on Marine Traffic. She’s still at the Pacific Anchorage as of this morning. Edited December 20, 2023 by dmwnc1959
