ymncruise Posted October 30, 2023 #1 Share Posted October 30, 2023 We haven’t been to Orient Bay since pre lockdowns, but want to try it again in December. Has anyone been lately? Which beach bar do you recommend for food, drinks, chairs and fun?

IMHO - Best bar on Orient for ambience, beds, food, drinks and service is COCO, but do book one’s day in advance. Rare BillOh Posted October 31, 2023 #3 Share Posted October 31, 2023 We will be visiting the south end again by the former Club Orient. It was still pretty bad looking in 2018, but the beach was still nice with plenty of room.
SnorkelAway Posted October 31, 2023 #4 Share Posted October 31, 2023 Club Orient is still an ugly ruin - the beach is usually fine. The Perch on the Club O c/o beach has decent food and drinks. Just up the beach is Orange Fever which we highly recommend for drinks, lunch, and chairs. Coco is fine, but is further north up beach than where group taxis normally drop off.

Link - https://www.cocobeach.restaurant/gallery That place looks awesome. Thanks for the info. PORT ROYAL This is the way to go. That Princess Julianna 747 thing at Maho Beach is a bit overrated, actually it's highly overrated. Orient is not just a special beach the vibe up there is AWESOME!! Thanks PORT ROYAL. ccheng6401 Posted November 5, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 5, 2023 We will be visiting later this month. Would it be rude to wear clothes and dine at the Perch Lite Beach Bar & Grill?
TTEllis Posted November 5, 2023 #7 Share Posted November 5, 2023 Clothes on Orient??!! That doesn't sound very fun, I thought that was the whole idea😁. If everyone else is dining with there birthday suits on and your dressed for church that's on you. Had lunch at Pappagya at the old Club Orient, birthday suits only. I would feel far more uncomfortable wearing clothing than I would wearing very little or nothing at all. Absolutely nobody cares, shake it off and go have fun.
ymncruise Posted November 6, 2023 Author #8 Share Posted November 6, 2023 We always wear clothes at orient bay. I haven’t been to the bar you mentioned, but when I’ve been to other bars along the beach in the past, most people were wearing clothes.

TTEllis Posted November 10, 2023 #11 Share Posted November 10, 2023 (edited) Who cares it's Orient Beach!! Go rent you a lounger, an umbrella throw on your birthday suit and go have some fun. The further you walk down the beach the more birthday suits you'll see. Speaking of throwing better throw some sunscreen spf 50 on those cheeks, among ummm other thingys.😁 Lotsa fun gotta have that spf 50 though that's key or OR you take the taxi back to the ship and your hiene has been burnt off. Seen it, dingbat(my girlfriend) did that like 3 visits ago. She didn't want any tan lines!!🙄 Both cheeks and the back of her legs got scorched, but no pun intended she didn't have any tan lines. 😳 Edited November 10, 2023 by TTEllis
