newfietravel Posted November 2, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 2, 2023 I have a room that is joined with my neighbor on Princess Emerald. I don't know these people, and didn't ask for it. Will I hear everything in the adjoining room like you do in most hotel rooms with adjoining rooms?
mtnesterz Posted November 2, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 2, 2023 Maybe they have the same worry about you and will keep the noise down. I've had no problems with noise in this type of cabin.
SargassoPirate Posted November 2, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 2, 2023 (edited) We had an adjoining room before I figured out how to read the codes on the deck plans. Never again. We could hear the neighbors talking, coughing, their TV, and their amorous interludes. Be prepared and hope for the best - or select a better location. MissP22 Posted November 3, 2023 #4 Share Posted November 3, 2023 All things considered, I would never want another cabin with an adjoining interior door.
edspec Posted November 3, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 3, 2023 Traveling as a family we really need connecting rooms. I realize it may not be possible but if you can please change your cabin and open up the possiblity to a family that would prefer/needs that cabin feature.
Rare sunviking90 Posted November 3, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 3, 2023 (edited) Did you choose this room on the Emerald Princess? Or was it a guarantee assignment? Are there other non-connecting rooms still available in the same category? If so, call Princess and tell them you would like to change rooms. Check before hand to see what is available so you can tell them which room you want to switch to. Basically keep it simple for them and they will do it. We have done this a few times when we didn’t like the location of our guarantee, Edited November 3, 2023 by sunviking90
