capriccio Posted November 4, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 4, 2023 We will be in the Yacht Club on the Seascape in early December and my DH will still be recovering from major back surgery. He will be using a cane for any great distance (i.e., outside of the YC for sure) and will be avoiding any crowds. Does anyone have experience with how they handle the muster drill for passengers who are incapable of handling flights of steps, especially with crowds of other passengers where he could trip or be tripped? We booked this cruise a year in advance without any indication that he would be having major surgery. We won't be doing any sightseeing but I think the peace and calm of the YC along with the wonderful service will be just what the doctor ordered.
Mark_T Posted November 4, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 4, 2023 There will be MSC staff near the elevators, just approach them and explain the problem and you will be accommodated.

Yes, thank you! I too will need some accommodation and cannot do the stairs, even down, for more than maybe 1 flight and that’s kinda iffy. gizfish Posted November 12, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 12, 2023 Since you are in YC, shortly after you board, let your butler know of the need for accommodation and I am sure they will be able to put your mind at ease.
