Port Everglades: Watch Cruise Ships Leave from Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park?

Pre-covid, we used to watch the ships leave from the jetty at Dr. Von D. Mizell-Eula Johnson State Park. I know it was since been damaged in a hurricane. Has it re-opened, or can one still walk far enough along the path to watch the cruise ships depart?

Their website says the jetty is closed. A quick Google search.

The jetty has been closed for years but you can stand on the beach and watch the ships leave Port Everglades. I usually park in the northernmost lot and walk over to the beach. The jetty was better but the beach isn't bad either.
