Cruise Reviews vs discussion topics

Recommended Posts

I see that Cruise reviews are different animals to regular forum posts; you can't comment / reply to a Cruise Review, it seems.  I've read several cruise reviews that make misleading statements, but there's no way to correct or challenge what they said.

Also, it seems the cruise reviews are organized by 'ship', not itinerary.  That is - you have to enter your ship as the primary element of your review.  I'm more interested in providing a review of our itinerary, not the specific ship that happened to be in service that week. Is there a place to discuss (forum style) specific itineraries?

@Steerpike58

See the following for the present types of cruising board forums: Special Interest Cruising

For changes in the boards, posting on the boards does no good as it will not be seen by the Community Manager. Please note the following from the Guidelines we all agreed to follow when registering for our free Cruise Critic memberships:

"... If you have any questions or comments regarding our posting guidelines or any content found on our message boards please be sure and let me know. I'll be happy to discuss them with you.

Please send your email to LauraS, Senior Manager, Community at community@cruisecritic.com.  Also, please send the email from your Cruise Critic email address of record and be sure to mention your Cruise Critic user name. This is so your membership can be verified, and reply sent to your Cruise Critic email address of record.

Hope this will be helpful and happy sails,

I see now that several people are posting their cruise experiences in the various forum areas (like "River Cruising"), so I guess there are formal 'reviews' that have a different structure and then there are posts that are effectively reviews.
