Usually a discount off the price plus OBC to be used either on current cruise or the one you book for the future. Lower deposit, and move once. You can also buy a Future cruise certificate. Rare pinotlover Posted November 9, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 9, 2023 1. Depending upon the length of your cruise, an additional price discount; 2. Additional OBC added to your current cruise; 3. Low price quarantee on the purchased cruise; 4. A reduced cruise deposit. A Future Cruise Credit is a good investment. You get all the benefits of actually booking a cruise now, and can use it on a future cruise release. This is particularly the case with the new cruise cancellation penalty.

Unless they decide to impose a cancellation fee on a FCC. Then I'll pass, but so far, it's been beneficial.
Rare FetaCheese Posted November 9, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 9, 2023 @Cruisedreamer1 Re: "Future Cruise Deposit Certificate" purchased onboard. If cruise you may be interested is a "Value Fare" (promo with reduced price -- may not be advertised -- nor that fare on O website) the benefits will not be applicable. Only the Deposited Amount will be able to be applied to said booking. How do I know this ? I purchased a "Future Cruise Deposit Certificate" while onboard this past Sept., then when I was interested in a "Value Fare" cruise, was told the above. The low price guarantee is till the sail date, correct? Also, the one time ability to move to another cruise is also till the sail date?

Not sure about the second question in that regular cancellation fees apply after Final Payment Date.
