Received the email tonight. Not apologizing for V, but a reasonable 8% increase. My next V cruise, promo included free SSBP. A very nice perk., and will partake. Hope they have Woodford and or other premium Bourbons available.

@Robjame Re: mid cruise comment card... On recent Siren cruise, I made several positive comments, and 1 suggestion. Never heard back from anyone on either. Personally, it seems like a time consuming exercise, and will most likely decline such in future. Requested, and had a face to face meeting with GM for 2 different/other issues, and was more productive, although was just told many excuses. Contrasting with Viking, I made a positive comment re: Destination Focused Dining. F&B Mgr. called cabin to express his gratitude that I was enjoying Cuisine offerings.

Re: GDR open on Port days... On Sirena cruise ending 04 Dec., was glad to have GDR open on a couple port days, early am arrival. However, 1 port day arrival 1 pm, GDR not open. I do not understand rationale.

Watching Deals and Sales On Oceania Cruises for Sport
FetaCheese replied to Sthrngary's topic in Oceania Cruises
New Year's Sale on O website Appears to be a continuation of Black Friday Sale Promotion ( same 4 Cat upgrade, + pick 1 amenity ) 105 cruises ( have not checked if same prior sale cruises, but my next cruise was, and is still on it, same fares ) -
Just off Sirena, Dottie and Tom were on. Enjoyed both.

@Stockjock 2 comments: Re: rough seas, your C 1 cabin, comes with a trade off. More ship motion, but more spacious. Appears you enjoyed the Greek Taste of the World platter in GDR. We also had a Greek themed lunch 1 day in TC. Both very tasty!

Not O, but for customer service comparison. Have taken 4 Viking cruises, and took 2 included shorex, on different cruises, which did not meet V standards to which we were accustomed on prior V voyages. Went to Guest Services onboard to voice concerns for 1, and called customer relations upon returning home for the other. They were very concerned, and listened carefully to my comments. I received an excellent, very satisfactory resolution for both, without asking for anything. A marked difference in how Viking cares for its clients. Viking, in my opinion, looks to build a long term relationship with pax.

@Stockjock I'm sure you enjoyed your porterhouse. On 1st visit to Tuscan Steak, I had the 20oz porterhouse, medium. Was cooked perfectly to my preference. Was very fine, tender, tasty and seasoned just right. Appreciated that they separated the filet portion from bone, and cut on bias, the sirloin section into about the 4 pieces. A very appealing presentation, on the slate on cutting board. Yes, alot of meat, but the 20oz includes the bone and fat. I enjoyed all the steak! Trying to understand why on 2nd visit, the NY strip was not of same quality. Appears you and Raquel are really enjoying your voyage. Thank you for taking your valuable vacation time to post this Live From, and your photos.

Last cruise, demo skewed older, being a 15 night voyage. Casino was virtually dead, as were shops. Entertainment was very well attended. We really enjoyed Comedian Tom Drake's 2 shows. CD Dottie's husband. Do not miss the Bright String Quartet, 4 young, very talented Ukrainian musicians. Not just classical; they play lots of contemporary pieces not normally heard as strings. Very enjoyable.

@lborneAgree, some ice creams at TC was icy. Try GDR lunch "Coup Glacee", different ice cream each time, served in a sundae glass. Much better.

Correction: Tuscan Steak dinner referenced above was Monday night, not Tuesday night. Tuesday night, dined in TC. Ordered Rib Eye Steak, medium. The best, most tender and delicious steak, expertly grilled by Joshua, Employee of the Month. Was awarded by Yves, GM, in Sirena Lounge during farewell on last night of voyage. "A restaurant is only as good as your last meal". TC was excellent for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner.

Just off Sirena Yesterday. Hard to believe your Tuscan Steak filet mignon was really fine, next day. Ordered NY strip, medium, Tuesday night, could barely cut it with the Laguiole knife, and 2 bites, really hard to chew. So much lower quality than same item experienced on Regatta, September 2024. Not a complainer, but did send it back. Replaced with Filet mignon, medium, was better, but not buttery tender. O no longer serving USDA Prime beef. @Stockjock You said there were 2 lines at TC, embarkation lunch. A new concept? On 7 O cruises, just stood in front of desired section. (Never a line up, like on HAL) Was an excellent cruise. Enjoy yours.

Just off Sirena. TC embarkation lunch was very calm at 2pm. Turkey, as was expected, really fine. An excellent cruise.

@basenji56 Your free cruise will be your 20th. Lots of fine print. Look on website...T&C's

On Sirena now. We're in a larger C 1, forward deck 7. Extra depth of cabin is really nice, with a very large round window, not rectangular as shown on O website. On diagram outside of elevator lobby, cabin shows as wider than verandas. I think you will appreciate the extra space, making cabin feel more spacious. Plenty of storage, shelves drawers, corner cabinet. TC is still staff served. Extremely satisfied with food quality, ample variety, and staff service. Eating most dinners in TC. This voyage, demo skews older, TC never crowded, easy to find your table. GDR much busier sometimes a longer wait for table. Ship has been tastefully decorated for Upcoming holidays. Ship is beautiful and well maintained. Staff very friendly and accommodating. Not sure which sales scheme you are booked under. If you have or purchase basic drinks pkg., wines, beers, Champagne by glass menu is quite adequate for us. Any questions, feel free to ask.

Each cruise will have a different minimum # of shorex to book to receive 25% discount. Dependent on # of port calls. Recent Alaska cruise...had SM... 5 port calls... All shorex were list price...no 25% discount available. -
