dacf Posted November 10, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 10, 2023 (edited) Hello, We're looking at booking the 9 day cruise to the ABC Dutch Islands. Celebrity Equinox is the only attractive itinerary out of all cruises that I've found where you're in port until midnight in Aruba, 10pm in Curacao on a Thursday (Punda Vibes and fireworks in the evening), and full day in Bonaire plus an extra port in Grand Cayman. There's going to be 4 sea days and 4 port days - Perfect!! We usually sail with Carnival and RCCL, we like the ships with lots of entertainment, but we wanted to try this ship because of the itinerary. What does Celebrity Equinox offer in terms of games, theme parties, entertainment, etc on sea days and also in the evenings? Thanks for help Edited November 10, 2023 by dacf
Susanb10567 Posted November 10, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 10, 2023 We just sailed this itinerary on the Equinox in October….we had a great time…we really enjoyed the itinerary and the ship in general…there were game shows each night at 8:00 in between the shows in the theater that were at 7 and 9…they usually got a good crowd…there were beyond the podium talks on sea days..there really weren’t theme nights…there was one deck party that people tend to dress in white…lots of events by the pool on sea days.. 39august Posted November 10, 2023 #3 Share Posted November 10, 2023 (edited) There will be trivia and other activities like making bookmarks or doing puzzles in the Sky Lounge during days at sea. There are dance classes every sea day in the Grand Foyer at 11: AM. There will be "archery" competition one day. There are usually "Beyond the Podium" presentations a couple of sea days. Some I've seen are about NASA, art, sea life, Titanic, etc. Usually very interesting. There is always at least one "Silent Disco" and one evening deck party, usually called Full Moon Party. Each evening there are various musical acts at various venues throughout the ship. Nothing like RCL. Much more relaxed and laid back vibe on Equinox and other S and M class ships. dacf Posted November 10, 2023 Author #4 Share Posted November 10, 2023 When you say lots of events by the pool, do you mean various competitions and games? Did they play music by the pool? It sounds like it won't be totally boring LOL!!! Also do they have Movie Under the Stars (movie played on their jumbotron on the pool deck)? On some nights, it's nice just to kick back and watch a movie.
39august Posted November 10, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 10, 2023 No movie screen at the pool. Yes, music at the pool during the day. Sometimes dance and/or aerobics classes poolside.

SiestaKeyGirl Posted November 11, 2023 #7 Share Posted November 11, 2023 Hi everyone! Who is the current Activity Director on the Equinox? Also, who is the Hotel Director? Thank you, we are going soon and like to see if our friends are still on the Equinox. Happy Cruising!

Check your Celebrity Today once onboard to see times and what's playing.

SRch Posted November 11, 2023 #10 Share Posted November 11, 2023 We did this itinerary 5 years ago on equinox and loved it so much we are doing it again in little over a week. We have done both carnival and Royal but enjoy celebrity so much more. DH refuses to sail Carnival again as he finds it too noisy. We are laid back, but there are things to do. It is definately not Carnival though and no skating rinks, bumper cars, wave riding etc. depends on what is more important. Sometimes itinerary is more important
