We had to cancel a cruise & had used 3 Cruise Next certificates.

Will those be returned to our account?

When is the cruise?  If you are before final payment date, they will be returned.  If you cancel after final payment, I doubt you will get them back, but I don’t know for sure.

Thx. It was after final payment, so I guess we shall see.

It is what it is!

I cancelled two bookings on Friday that were before final payment.  Each had 2 CNs applied. They were returned to my account on Sunday.  They didn't show up on the screen with all of my future bookings, but they were available in any "make a payment" screen that I opened.  I applied them as deposit to four new bookings.  I would be shocked if they would have returned them after final payment.

If it's after final payment, it will depend on the penalty for starters. It would probably be in the best interest of NCL to return the certificates, since then you would have them to apply to another cruise.

But with the screwy NCL accounting system, who knows. At one time, they were making refunds as CN certificates - but not for the full amount, so using them in the future would have been a problem, as they weren't enough for a full deposit and so forth. Note, this wasn't for a cancellation, just a fare reduction before final payment. I had to call and tell them no, please refund the cash.

Yes, we still have a CN for $11 we will never use that was left over from a cancellation during covid.
