Sailing from New Orleans on NCL - additional charges for beverages while in LA waters?

I haven't sailed from NOLA in a while. Seems like the past time I did we were charged a little additional for our "free beverage package" on departure day. I don't recall what it was, but it might have been LA sales tax? I know something similar is charged departing from Galveston.

 

Can anyone please refresh my memory?

Yes. You will get charged sales tax on each drink until you reach international waters, about $1-$2.

Thank. I thought so. Looking forward to sailing down the river, last time we did was October 2022.
