Orlando Port Canaveral hotel recommendations

We are flying into Orlando & sailing out of port canaveral the next day so are looking for hotel recommendations. Is it better to stay in Orlando or go straight to Port Canaveral? We are on a budget. 
Also looking for transportation/shuttle services.

If you look around the board there are many discussions on all your questions, including MANY recommendations.

 

Whether you stay near the airport or in Port Canaveral would probably depend on when your flight arrives...the later, the more inclined to stay near the airport, as it is an hour to Port Canaveral.

So not sure what your budget is, but we have booked the Best Western ocean front in Coco beach. 2 couples in a junior suite and was $297. Less then 3 miles to the port and right on the beach with plenty of entertainment within walking distance

if you are on a budget you will probably find the hotels near the airport cheaper than hotels in the Canaveral area.  Here is a list of some of the more popular shuttles in the area….
