tpwolfe Posted November 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted November 23, 2023 Just got notified that the November 8, 2024 Southern Caribbean sailing on the Rotterdam has been changed to the Eastern Caribbean. They said it was changed because of port congestion.
KAKcruiser Posted November 23, 2023 #2 Share Posted November 23, 2023 Unbelievable. The HAL website still has it listed as a Southern Caribbean sailing. But, a travel agency has it listed as an Eastern itinerary. Wouldn't you think that the cruise line would want to have accurate information on their website? Rare kazu Posted November 23, 2023 #5 Share Posted November 23, 2023 Itinerary changes are always frustrating but, at least It’s a year away. Plenty of notice to ponder and cancel if it doesn’t appeal to those booked.
pirate cruiser Posted November 23, 2023 #6 Share Posted November 23, 2023 I'm starting to think that if there are any places you have always wanted to visit do it as soon as you can-seems like more and more ports are restricting ships and people-we are booked on a Panama Canal cruise for next Dec. and they have already taken Key West off. With politics and protesters becoming more involved it will be interesting to see what cruising looks like in 10 years.
Cruise Suzy Posted November 23, 2023 #7 Share Posted November 23, 2023 Our November 27, 2024 cruise itinerary also was changed a day or so ago. It was to start with 2 sea days, then 6 port days, then a sea day and finally HMC. The pattern is still the same, but the 6 ports were completely reversed and times in port altered. The HAL shore excursions and specialty dining were not available before this change and still aren't. Plenty of time to adjust any independent excursions. KAKcruiser Posted November 23, 2023 #9 Share Posted November 23, 2023 That is really unusual. I wonder why no HMC.
