St Thomas port of call on Icon

Is there any shopping nearby in this port, or is an excursion better recommended.  Thanks for any advice .

There are the typical cruise port type shops at the end of the pier.  It’s a little bit of a walk to downtown for local shops, but taxis are right there if you want to catch a ride.  You’ll be able to see the cruise ship from downtown.

Check out Geoffrey tours. He does a six hour tour , two hours sightseeing, two hours shopping, and two hours swimming. He very reasonable priced. I've used him many times and he doesn't disappoint.

Shopping area at the port (Crown Bay) also easy to taxi a taxi shuttle into town and back. We stop at this port often and last time it was $4-5.00 pp one way. When you're ready to return they'll be taxi shuttles everywhere calling out "Back to the ship" for the same price.

 

I would go into town for better prices and shopping.

No need to waste money on an excursion on St. Thomas.  Tons of open air taxis and easy to get around.  Quick ride to downtown.  Fun ride over the mountains to Magen's Bay.  Much more enjoyable on your own then suffering through an overpriced crowded excursion where they herd you like cattle.
