Galveston Tremont Hotel walking to Carnival Terminal

I am booked at the Tremont for our Jubilee Cruise in March 2024.  If we have overpacked, as usual, I was considering taking 2 walking trips with our luggage to the terminal.  We could walk with our bags that we are checking and drop them with the porter.  We would then walk back .3 miles to the hotel to get our carry ons.  Has anyone done this?  It seems like it would work easy peasy.  I have never cruised out of Galveston before.

We found the walk with our rolling luggage easy enough....and we have been retired for a few years😉

Galveston is a lovely island and a great port to cruise from.  We also loved staying at the Tremont and have booked it again for another upcoming cruise.   Hope you have a great time!

Weather permitting, two walking trips is certainly doable from the Tremont.

One wprd of caution, on cruise days the traffic around the cruise terminals and Harborside Drive is mega heavy and filled with drivers who are not familiar with the area. Don’t get run over before your cruise even starts.
