mum loved the liver.

I really enjoyed the Indian

in the bay of islands.

today is the first of 3 straight sea days.

its a bit foggy outside. hopefully the weather clears up for all the sun bunnies. I hate it when it gets too crowded inside. seas are pretty smooth

just back from the most traveled guests lunch.

we were on a table of 4. nice people. 

scallops were good. don't know why the obsession with carrots though (they looked silly and didn't compliment the scallops at all).

short rib was very tasty and tender.

 the Panna cotta with lychee and raspberry granite was heavenly, they poured a shot of lychee liquor over it. mmm mmm.

petit fours were chocolate dipped strawberries,  macarons and chocolates. of course there was bread, wine/beer and coffee/tea

great lunch all up

I had to laugh at the carrots. Sometimes, presentation just doesn't make sense. You are right that the scallops should be the standout on the plate.

 

Congrats to the waiters for getting the dishes to the table intact.

the band were good as usual.

If it's the Sophie I am thinking of (we last saw her on Pacific Encounter) she's a gem. A Yorkshire lass, I think. Very outgoing and lots of fun. I think she could do with not piling on the make up so heavily, but that's her choice.🙂
