Are we allowed to take a small shade tent (we'd sit on towel on sand, top of shade tent hits just above head)? OR can we bring a typical beach umbrella? Or are the HA clamsells all that is allowed?

Do you want to go through all this trouble just to sit a few hours on the beach?

You can and if you walk past the chairs and clam shells (and cabanas) you have a very large area to yourself and even good snorkeling right off the beach. We get the clamshells since we spend most of the day there and go to the buffet and then back to our clamshell.

We always seek out a shaded area under the over-hanging trees at the edge of the sand area to put out our towels.

The beach area is not that wide, so you are still somewhat close to the water when you are under the tree share. Plenty of length to the beach to find a good spot.  Lovely stop.

Please do not tell anyone but we head way down the beach early and keep walking past all the clamshell rental folks and other fellow passengers and we find nice beach chairs under the trees and if we are lucky, sometimes we enjoy the surcharge free hammocks......(last time was November 2022)

Lugging beach equipment to the ship, off the ship, on the tenders, down the beach and reverse would not work for us.....We carry our HAL tote bag with our beach towels and suntan lotion and that's enough stuff for us.

Enjoy HMC....it's paradise on planet Earth
