Lisbon in the evening

We will be in Lisbon on a cruise in September. Sunset looks to be around 7:30.  I was wondering if taking a tuk tuk tour later in the afternoon and then staying in port after would be a good idea.  We are in port until almost midnight.  Thanks for any thoughts and information

I would suggest you to wait for the sunset near the Tajo (Tagus) River from the "Maat" museum or to take a 2 hours sunset river cruise that you can book through "Get your Guide".

or  you could simply take a taxi up to one of the "miradors" for the fabulous views across the city.  Mirador de São Pedro De Alcantarar is one of the best, actually our favourite mirador,  but you could google the name followed by the words "at night" to be sure of what you might see at night.

@4js The tuk tuks take you up to a mirador.  If you time it right you will be there at sunset. The driver can drop you off in the Via Augusta-Av, da Liberdade area where you can go to a restaurant if you choose.  The restaurant can call you a taxi to the ship.

Our goto evening event in Lisbon is to go to a decent Fado dinner show.  Not sure this would work with a midnight departure, but places like Sr. Vinyo has a decent show/dinner and one could leave a little early to make sure to get back to the ship (about a 10-15 min taxi ride).

@4J's-

Good advice.  Our favorite fado places are:

Tasca do Chico - in Alfama

Bela petiscos e vinhos

Tasquinha Canto do Fado - in Mouraria (good food, show stars at 8).

Be mindful that some of these places do not accept credit cards. They all have websites.
