Embarkation lunch for haven guests (American diner)?

Recommended Posts

for the past few years, whenever we have booked a haven if it doesnt have it's own restaurant, or a suite, we have always been taken to cagney's for lunch! That being said, however, the menu hasnt changed in years!

our last cruise was lst july-august, and the lunch for suite guests  if they wanted to go there) has been cagney's

It's not an option or overflow venue on embarkation day for Jewel Class ships and you don't order from the specialty restaurant's menu. The specialty restaurant (Cagney's or Moderrno) is the only dining area for Suite/ Haven breakfast and lunch on those ships, on any day of the cruise, not just embarkation day.

Yeah... we had lunch in American Diner for free as Haven guests on the Joy for our PC trip. So nothing to do with Jewel class ships.

 And for breakfast.

Got off the Epic Sunday the 14th.  On embarkation day, lunch was served in the Haven Restaurant.

folks, the la cucina thing was in 2018, apparently.

that was lifetimes ago in cruise years!

and it was on a new year's cruise, during which the ship was packed to the gills.

i wouldn't count on NCL opening up a specialty restaurant for lunch to divert traffic from the haven on embarkation day, except under extraordinary circumstances, if ever again.

That's why my words are hope and hoping! Certainly not expecting. I'll be here wishing, waiting, hoping, but not turning blue in the face.

Once again, that's not an overflow restaurant only used on embarkation day, which is what's under discussion.

On the ships without a Haven restaurant Cagney's or Moderno are the suite and Haven breakfast and lunch venues every day of the cruise and the menus used are not the specialty restaurant menus, but rather something close to, if not identical to, the breakfast and lunch menus that are used in the Haven restaurant on the newer, larger ships with a dedicated restaurant.
