Getting around/taxi service/tour operators

We are a group of 6 and would like to do some time at Orient Beach, then to Maho, then back to ship with a couple hours at each. Would we better doing a tour or should we just taxi from place to place? Any recommendations of a tour operator? Bernard's does not offer these option without booking private which is expensive!

We've been to St. Maarten multiple times, but always had a tour.  I think this time we just want to do exactly what you are doing.  I think a taxi is the way to go, was just hoping someone on here will have experience with best options.

Just take a taxi minivan.  Plenty available from port, Orient and Maho.

Consider COCO on Orient.  Best to book in advance to ensure a party set-up for beds. https://www.cocobeach.restaurant
