Pacificana Posted January 24 #1 Share Posted January 24 Hello, I have cruised a lot, but it is going to be my first time in Honduras. The ship will be in port from 7am to 4pm. My understanding is that Princess ships dock in Mahogany Bay which has a beach and there is a zip line nearby. Is this correct? Do we need to book zip lining through the ship, or will it be easy (and cheaper) to buy it when we are there? The ship offers zip lining for $100, or a combination or zip lining and beach for $110. Will we be able to walk to the beach after zip lining? Is it free? Is the beach any good, or should we go somewhere else? Thank you for your input! Rare crewsweeper Posted January 24 #2 Share Posted January 24 Yes there is a beach and a zipline at Mahogany Bay. Zipline is directly across from shopping area. Beach is a ten minute walk along a sidewalk pathway. Unless you want an umbrella or clamshell lounger, the beach loungers are free. There is a restaurant and bar serving food and drink. I have no idea what the cost to zip line is now. Used to be a separate vendor and early on $45. They drove you in a small pickup to the top of the hills above the port and you zipped down. Beautiful views.
Pacificana Posted January 26 Author #3 Share Posted January 26 Thank you for your response; it is helpful. I think we will try to do it on our own.
ABQrobin Posted February 7 #4 Share Posted February 7 Bodden Tours is a great one where you can put together your own package and they will pick you up outside of port.
