Great Bay Beach

Looking to book at a beach bar and enjoy the day with swimming and shopping.

I have read posts that say there is run-off sewage if there is a lot of rain.

Does anyone know if it is ok or should we look for another beach?

Heavy rain or not, it will still cause “problems”.  Remember the tidal run the beach…. It does not “refresh” quickly.   If one is committed to attending Great Bay, then walk West to the far end of beach to select beds.   Or, if wishing to stay local then Divi,  just round the headland.
But do consider CCCO on Orient, with a cab back to Phillipsburg to shop.

I was not aware that this could be an issue on Great Bay...   We were also looking at the water taxi as an option.

Thank you PORT ROYAL!

I see that you mentioned COCO...

We were thinking of just heading to Bikini Beach.  Thinking that is where many of the day trip vans drop off.  But we should be only large ship in Port.

Can you tell why you recommend COCO?

Better drinks to try?  Food?  Service????

Thanks so much for all of your assistance here!

Food, ambience, food (top end) and drinks (great variety of Rum/Rhum) are superior to any other beach venue.   The beds are more comfortable and the clientele are genteel.   It’s a special place where one looks forward to returning.
Take a look and see…. https://www.cocobeach.restaurant

We enjoyed Kontiki Beach Club, next to Bikini Beach.  Comfortable chaises, good food.  Nice atmosphere.  A little less costly than Coco.
