Dining Reservation Question

We are cruising on the Koningsdam, Alaska Inside passage in June 2024. HA's website will allow us to make paid reservations for any of the specialty restaurants, but when we request to use our complimentary dining credit, only Pinnacle Grill comes up and it shows no availability. Is that typical that the HIA reservations can only be made at a later date than a paid reservation? Or is it possible that they limit the number of complimentary diners at any given time and those are already full for Pinnacle Grill? 

 

Also, if there are 4 of us travelling together in 2 cabins, do we make the reservations for 2 each and then somehow let them know that we wish to dine together?

June sailings may not be taking reservations yet but check your Booking Confirmation letter to see which restaurant your HIA includes.  A picture of my Booking letter is in this thread, post #3.

When reservations for specialty dining open, they are for everyone, paid or HIA, at the same time. 

 

Bookings for my May 11, 2024 cruise only opened up two weeks ago.   I really doubt that June cruise restaurant reservations would be completely sold out already!

 

Have your Travel Agent "link" your dining reservations to your other cabin.

Yes, each makes their reservation in order to use the HIA.   Once booked, you can amend it to a 4 top by calling ships’s services or on board.

You can always call HAL's toll-free number. The agent will let you know when dining reservations open.
