Bermuda Botanical Gardens

We have been to Bermuda many times and while looking for something different to visit I saw the website for tour at the Bermuda Botanical Gardens.  It is free weekdays but the site says the visitor center, snack bar, etc. are still closed since Covid.  Has anyone visited lately and would appreciate knowing if you enjoyed it.  We would take the bus from Dockyard.

Bermuda Byways tours usually stop here for a quick visit and bathroom break.  Heidi usually points out some points of interests here but the 2 times I've been on her tour we didn't have time to walk around.  It would probably be worth an hour visit.

Sadly the botanical gardens was allowed to fall into a disgraceful state disrepair. There was talk of refreshing it and it may have been done. I don't know the current conditions.  We need someone with time taking on their own like perhaps @dazey to check it out and repost back.

Sorry about this, just seen it today:

Dunno when it'll reopen, maybe by May, you could ask the Corporation of Hamilton closer to the time:

Other places you could think about:

Right there in Dockyard, if you haven't visited it, it is very well worth it, the National Museum

BUEI, close to Hamilton

The Aquarium at Flatts Village

The National Museum was certainly worth visiting.  It has been a while so maybe we can do that again since the Garden and Fort Hamilton may not be available.

We always enjoyed a day at Elbow Beach when they offered that but not sure what state it is in now.  I was able to vacation at Elbow Beach Hotel in the 60's when it was absolutely beautiful and elegant.  Dressed for dinner(6 course meal), service people wore tux and gloves to serve us and the beach(still great) was pink.  I had a chance to tour(saw the caretaker who worked there in the 60's and he enjoyed sharing memories with us) the old hotel when it was shut down several years ago and it brought back a time long gone.

We will have a nice time in Bermuda no matter what is open or closed.

The hotel is closed and the furnishings sold or given away. The Saudi prince who owns the property is trying to sell. One or two or the restaurants may be open. I have lost track of that.

The National Galley of Art in Hamilton. Is worth a visit.
