We are docking at 3.30am,  I checked  what time with Celebrity we could leave the ship.

I was told by 6.30am.

Has anyone had experience of early docking and how early we can really leave the ship?

many thanks for any assistance/advice.

No matter what time the ship arrives in port and docks, no guest are permitted to leave the ship until cleared by local authorities.  0630 sounds about right, I would plan on 0730 at the latest.

As someone who works at a cruise terminal, I can say that the 6:30 AM response from Celebrity is probably accurate.  Once the ship is at the dock, Longshore workers are needed to secure the ship and connect the gangway.   The local Customs & Border Protection Officers will have to be present, and clear the ship for disembarkation. Port-side staff are needed for safety and directional assistance.  Ground transportation is also needed to be ready.  All these folks need to be in place, and it is unlikely that all these folks will be assembled prior to 6:30.
