Celebrity Millenium Bus Tour Accident

My jaw just hit the floor as I watched a news report of the 12 people lost in a bus accident in Chile. What a terrible accident, my heart goes out to the families of those involved.

I just read about this on the Celebrity board. It appears to have been a private tour company. What a sad thing for everyone. NMnita

Saw the same report - first thing I did was check to see where the Crown was. They did not say what ship they were from on the report.

Very sad news.

Earlier this month, while I was riding board a bus in Cozumel, we drove by a motor scooter accident with a VW beattle. The VW look perfectly intact, I wish I could say the same thing about the scooter and it's passenger.

Such a terribly sad report.

 

My thoughts and prayers are with the families and all of the passengers on the Millinneum.

 

Very hard to imagine the atmosphere on the ship.

Such a tragedy for all.

God bless them. :( In 2003 I was on the NCL Dream and one of the ports was Arica, Chile...

It would sure be a sad thing for every passenger on that ship, knowing that some of their fellow passengers wouldn't be returning.

 

I am sad for everyone involved.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the families too. Their grief will be hard to bear.

 

The CNN news article said that the ship will be staying in Arica until further notice....that will be hard on the fellow passengers too. I imagine the mood on the ship will be fairly sombre.

My aunt and uncle are on Millennium. I haven't heard from them yet but they generally only take ship sponsored tours so I'm pretty sure that they are okay. Even so, there is a part of me that will continue to worry until I hear from them. I just sent an email to them and hope they think to stop and let us know that they are okay. They don't always use email when they are cruising.

 

My heart goes out to the families of those that didn't make it and pray for the recovery of those that did.

Just flew home from our two weeks on The Millie. It was a terrific adventure and we managed to get into every port, despite some rough weather, with the expertise of the Captain. I am so saddened that the ship we left and the people we met who were sailing on have had this terrible blow. They are all in my prayers......
