Renovati Posted March 3 #1 Share Posted March 3 Wonder if someone who has previously had a Butler service suite and a deluxe drinks package can clarify the following please: Can we order drinks through the butler, to be delivered to the suite, using our deluxe packages, at no additional charge? We are predominately wondering about this for on balcony dining, when we order MDR items.
molecrochip Posted March 3 #2 Share Posted March 3 I believe if it’s ordered as part of butler served in-room MDR dining then the butler will take care of it by sourcing drinks from the MDR bar. But the official line is not included. Certainly not included with ordinary room service, which is free in suites - all drinks chargeable.
Rare Windsurfboy Posted March 3 #3 Share Posted March 3 Only way is ask Bultler, or test it have just a glass of wine with an MDR lunch in Suite and see next day if it appears on Bill.
mutziputzi Posted March 5 #4 Share Posted March 5 Well how funny we were sat outside a pub on Sunday having exactly the same conversation! We have our first suite booked in 3 weeks time, and are aiming to have most lunches and dinner in the room. We also have a drinks package and wondered the same. We did wonder whether we would have to fetch our own. Would be nice to have them delivered.
Rare Windsurfboy Posted March 5 #5 Share Posted March 5 (edited) We have never had the drinks package. At £100 per day for the two of us, that's three bottles of decent wine, or a bottle of champagne and an excellent red. In the room. If you have to resort to by glass , either brought to room by yourselves or butler, that's a lot of trips to the bar. If you are going to be eating mainly in room , think about bringing a few cases with you no corkage if drunk in room, think what you can get for that money, you can drink grand cru for same money. Renovati Posted March 5 Author #6 Share Posted March 5 Will be interesting to find out your experience, please let us know how it goes on your cruise 🙂 As others have mentioned, it may be that the butlers take a pragmatic approach to bringing them, whilst knowing it could benefit their end-of-cruise gratuity. It does seem to be an oversight though, if you get butler service for your meals, but have to get your own drinks from the sunset bar.

mutziputzi Posted March 5 #8 Share Posted March 5 The drinks package for us is £72 a day I cannot really be bothered to carry on drinks and then buy bottled water coffee etc £36 seems good value.
