Monkeyland in Puerta Plata

I heard that Monkeyland is in Puerta Plata.  Can I go there on my own or does it need to be with a tour group.  I can’t find any information that says you can do it on your on.  Thanks!

If docked in Taino Bay I would suggest Monkey Island. It is right there in the port. We did it and it was awesome.

 

If you are docked in Amber Cove or want to get out of the port area, then do Monkeyland
