Sun Princess dining reservations

Hi I keep checking most days to see if reservations have opened up for my cruise (paid in full) but not yet. If anyone can update as they open up reservations that would be great! I"m scheduled on the June 22nd 2024 cruise from Barcelona to Rome.

I heard that they will open 30 days before your cruise.

While trying to reserve Ssbatini's for May 25 cruise, it required payment to book it.

Our Travel agent gifted it to us.  But there is no place to insert this in the booking form.

Anyone have experience with this?   Suggestions?I really don't want to call Princess if I can avoid it.

In a recording of this week’s Princess sales webinar as I recall they said MDR reservations are currently up to 5/31 & they hope to make additional dates available soon.

I’ve heard 21 days before your cruise. We board her on June 1st for 21 days. Is anyone else boarding on this day.so excited 😛

Any perks from your TA generally do not become available until after you board.  The reason is you once they send the $$ to the cruise line it is done and you could cancel.your cruise.

The only way to do book this now is to pay for the reservation then do a cancel rebook IN PERSON once you are onboard.  That will avoid any mess up.

Thus calling Princess will not help.

There is no need to cancel/rebook.  If you cancel, the refund will be OBC to cabin account.  If you then rebook, the charge goes to cabin account and you are back where you started.

 

Your agent's gift will be OBC so other charges will be covered by it.  Or go a second time.  Only way to get refunded to credit card is to cancel now and wait to book SD restaurant on board.

Apparently not - I’m on the 6/8 sailing and nothing so far. Very frustrating. Had to pay in full July of last year as required when booking a casino offer and not being able to capitalize on it.

I find it odd that Princess won't ask for dining requests at the time of booking. So many other cruise lines will.

 

But for last year on my Alaska cruise, once I paid in full I was able to book.  I found it interesting and good that I could book any MDR and any hour and table I wanted.   So Princess is that er odd but stick with it and keep up to date.

We're CC Elite and could always make reservations as soon as we book without waiting for final payment. In January, I booked the Enchanted for March 2/2025 and made reservations the day after I booked for both MDR and specialty. Final payment isn't due until December.

 

I booked the Sun in July 2023 for a November 2024 sailing and I'm still not able to book 

 

Have any other CC Elites been able to book the Sun for sailings beyond this spring or early summer?

I am elite, in a suite, and paid in full for our June cruise.  I am still not able to book dining in the app.  There was a brief window a couple of days ago when my husband was able to make reservations at two of the venues.  But that window has since closed.  We are back to not being able to book anything at any of the venues.
