Bermuda - Are the ship casino's open while in port?

Thinking of scheduling a Bermuda cruise on the Eclipse. Is the casino open the nights we are in port?

No.   The casinos are not open while in any port that I’ve been on including Bermuda.

Yes! I was just going to say that I know the cruise lines can buy a special license to open their casinos while in Bermuda. Thank you for the reply's.

That is a big perk who enjoy the casino at night.  We get 3 days in Bermuda and some "fun" time later in the evening.  I guess a lot of people did not like being in port for 3 days without playing so this solution worked both for cruises and also Bermuda(plenty of time to enjoy Bermuda in the late afternoon and evening and spread our money around).

The casinos are open while in port in Bermuda if the ship buys a license from the government. Cruises lines that call regularly like Celebrity buy the license. Your cruise to Bermuda where they were not open was likely before they instituted the licensing program.

Makes sense.  All cruises would love to continue to make money and I am sure if the license is reasonable, many would take advantage of the extra cash.
