Room changes less than a week out

Recommended Posts

We have 7 people, in 4 adjoining but not connecting staterooms on the Harmony leaving this Sunday.

Within those 4 rooms, does anyone know if we are able to change who is staying in what room this close to the sailing? Do not want to change roommate pairings, just what room they are in with another in our group.

Also, it is possible to make a request to unlock the balcony dividers between the 4 rooms in advance so they are done by the time we board or shortly thereafter? If so, how do we go about that? Last cruise, we asked once on board and it took over a day for them to get around to it. TIA

You can make any changes you want up to 72 hours before sailing, with the caveat that one person from the original reservation must remain in that room and the number of people total in each room must remain constant. Having said that, once you get on board nobody cares who sleeps where so you can do whatever you want at that point. The real impact is on the room charges. I don't know of a way of contacting anybody to get the room dividers open before you actually board. You can just ask your cabin attendant the first day when you see them.

Princess, RCL and HAL all have told us that they cannot do this until after sail away for some reason - interested to hear if you find a way!  🙂

You need to ask a bit more forcefully of the cabin attendant. No, you can't arrange that pre-cruise.
