birdybirdcars Posted March 23 #1 Share Posted March 23 Hello All, thick long-haired person here who does not want to rely on the small in room hairdryers because I’d like to take less than 2 hours to blow dry. I’ve been hearing that perhaps the Shark hair dryers, along with Dyson, do not work in the state rooms. Has anyone had experience with this? I’m sailing on the Celebrity Ascent. Rare KKB Posted March 23 #2 Share Posted March 23 Have sailed Eclass 5x since 2021. Took my Dyson on the 1st 4 of those & then just gave up. Sometimes it worked. Sometimes it would work for a while. Sometimes it didn't work at all. No rhyme or reason.
Rare hcat Posted March 23 #3 Share Posted March 23 I though the hair dryer provided was powerful enough for my curly frizzy hair, but had a short cord and must hold the "on" button.. Nice that ASCENT had a outlet under bthrm console. did not have to use the main area desk!
AlbertaCruisers Posted March 23 #4 Share Posted March 23 My Shark Flexstyle worked with no issue on both the constellation and Equinox. I now have the Dyson airwrap, we were just on the Equinox for 38 days and the dyson worked everyday except for 3. For some reason those 3 days (mid-cruise) it would not work when I was getting ready for supper and then did at around 10 at night - very weird. StopTheWorld Posted March 24 #6 Share Posted March 24 My Dyson hairdryer only works using the European socket in the cabin. It doesn’t work in the US socket. I take a european travel adapter with me for this (I’m from the UK and need an adapter anyway, but don’t bother with a US one). If it helps I LOVE my Dyson hairdryer! It makes such a difference to my hair!
