Carnival Venezia in cabin TV hard drive connection

Recommended Posts

Hi

Can we plug in hard drive to in cabin TV using HDMI cable & watch?

We will need unused hdmi port in tv & remote should have option to change input from regular tv to hdmi 2 or something.

We save lots of videos for our son & than can play on big screen for him.

Thanks

No, the HDMI ports are disabled.

I have never tried, but there have been threads in which people have reported that with a Universal Remote, they were able to plug in with a HDMI plug and access their phone/I-Pad/hard drive.  Supposedly, the Carnival Remotes don't allow this.

I had to buy a USB-C to HDMI cable for my wife's new iPhone, in case she wanted to plug her new phone into the TV, but we didn't try it.

What hard drive has an HDMI port? As far as I know it does not exist.

I'm not aware of any hard drive you can connect directly to a TV to watch downloaded movies. A TV isn't a computer nor can you operate apps directly from a hard drive without a computer or tablet, you need software to run the apps. Now if you mean connecting a TV streaming device like a Chromecast, Roku, or Apple TV, that's a totally different story, but a streaming device isn't called a hard drive.

Exactly. Words matter!
