I’m just curious if anyone knows .. I’m in a gty Oceanview balcony right now but I have the option to bid for a upgrade the question is ? I really want a midship room and looking at the decks it appears as though all the extra large balcony rooms are on the hump in middle so if I won that bid I’d automatically be midship correct? Or am I missing something. Thanks for your input.

Welcome to CC.

If you are sure all of the cabins' location and category, then yes, you'd get one of those, if there's inventory and the RU algorithm allows your bid.

Generally, it's likely better to see what your GTY assignment is before bidding on RU (most RU wins are awarded well after check in - no rush to bid). At 45 days out when you check in, the SetSail pass barcode will likely show your GTY assignment, even if not official. If you really want a certain location, pay for it, and not take chances with GTY or RU.

All OV's with Large Balconies are located on the humps as that structure is what provides the large balcony.  There are two humps on Wonder, one of which is mid-ship and the other slightly forward but still mostly mid-ship IMO.

Well, if you really, really want a midship cabin, you aren’t the ideal person to book gty, so I hope midship is just a bit of a preference.  

 

Have you already checked in for your cruise or is your 45 day check in coming up soon?  If you have checked in, did you try the bar code trick?  Getting a clue about your expected cabin location may inform your bidding decisions.
