Alaskan cruise

Hi,

We are looking at doing a cruise to Alaska can anyone tell me when is the best time to go? We would also we would like to drive from Banff area to Vancover stopping for a few days in different places, we are open to any suggestions.

I would recommend end of May. Historically driest month of Alaska (less rain). Sept and Oct have the potential/odds for the worst weather.

 

For places - I would recommend driving North of Vancouver to Squamish and then Whistler (spend the night) and then go East.

My husband went snowboarding at Sunshine Village (Banff) and Whistler at the very end of April. The road to Moraine Lake wasn’t yet open for the season, and there were other road closures for wildlife purposes. I would check to make sure that you’re able to do what you want in Banff NP before booking.
